Our client are a fantastic digital software consultancy, and they are looking to build a team to continue solving problems using software and technology for their clients. As a Head of Portfolio Delivery, your role would be to engage and develop their clients by defining, optimising and delivering complex Digital transformations.

The Job

As the Head of Portfolio Delivery, the responsibilities include:

  • Working closely together with SLT / key stakeholders in the group.
  • Leading the vision & strategy of the overall delivery function across the organisation, and with our clients (UK GDS is a bonus).
  • Leading the strategy of our PMO/P3M digitisation from business case to transition.
  • Leading delivery teams in the UK and internationally.
  • Be an advocate in GDS (Government Digital Service) delivery both hands-on and strategy.
  • Be an advocate for the appropriate use of tools and processes.
  • Focusing on customer experience and delivering value for the end-user with a human-centric approach.
  • Promote data-led decision thinking, working alongside stakeholders and the leadership team.
  • Provide leadership, insights, mentorship and supporting recruitment processes to develop a sustainable delivery capability team internationally.
  • Collaborate with our Delivery teams and Client Partners to identify business opportunities, recruitment strategies, delivery team enrolment and supporting development.
  • Being responsible for our portfolio delivery and roadmaps.
  • Using a track-record of delivering public and private sector transformation programmes to assist and advise wider stakeholders (e.g., Government and Financial industry).
  • Build strategic and collaborative relationships/partnerships across all our capability/service areas.
  • Knowledge of sAFE/SCRUM/WATERFALL as a minimum and embedding governance best-practice, methodologies, tools, and frameworks.
  • Setting governance standards across the portfolio.
  • Understand security such as; GDPR, ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials (Plus), NCSC framework etc.
  • Working as a key member of our Bid Factory management, aiding with bids/tenders.
  • Assess opportunities with B2B leads, starting from enquiries into acquisition, utilising multiple channels and building partnerships.
  • Building and promoting our brand, services, solutions, and capabilities – across multiple industries within public and private sectors.

About you

  • At least 5 years of experience.
  • Honest, Confident and Entrepreneurial.
  • You are passionate about agile delivery and digital/technology.

  • You are keen to learn new and innovative technologies.
  • You are organised and can demonstrate attention to detail.
  • You have excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience working within the public sector is highly desirable.
  • Experience of digital services and agile delivery would be ideal.
