About the Cloud Compute 2 (RM6292) Framework
Crown Commercial Service supports the public sector to achieve maximum commercial value when procuring common goods and services. In 2022/23, CCS helped the public sector to achieve commercial benefits equal to £3.8 billion – supporting world-class public services that offer best value for taxpayers.
The Cloud Compute 2 framework is accessible to all central government, arms-length bodies, and broader public sector organisations for utilising cloud computing services along with digital transformation and cybersecurity consultations.
Key services include:
- PaaS (Platform as a Service): Offers the necessary platform tools for developing applications that deliver services over the internet, among other functions.
- IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service): Provides computing, storage, networking, and other hardware capabilities.
- Microservices, including third-party subscription services running in customer tenancies, directly linked to the usage, security, governance, optimization, and/or management of core services.
Additionally, there is the option to procure ongoing and value-adding services, ancillary to core cloud services, from cloud partners and resellers. These may include:
- Optimised billing and administration
- ‘FinOps’ tooling
